Roll-out Racks for Storing and Handling
Increased density, labour savings, flexibility, durability, safety and simplicity.
How's that for advantages?
A SpaceSaver Rack is a series of double and new single sided, vertical stacked receptacles available in any number of levels up to eight tall. The resceptacles roll out so they are easily accessed for loading or retrieving material with an overhead crane. No other special handling device is necessary, so anything handled by a crane can be stored in the racks. Any kind of crane can be used; twin-hook or single hoist, jibs, even boom trucks.
SpaceSavers provide 100% accessibility resulting in tremendous labour savings.
The receptacles in which the material is stored roll out into an open aisle so they are completely exposed. These receptacles are easily moved in and out by turning control tubes with a hand crank. This saves untold labour hours by permitting direct loading into storage without need of stacking or piling and makes it possible to remove any item or bundle without having to move any other. The contents of any rack can be pulled out of the ends as with pigeon-hole racks, if desired.
A grid is the support upright housing the roll-out receptacles. All racks are a combination of two or more grids connected with control tubes and bracing, spaced to accommodate a specified length.
A rack comprises a control panel, followed by two or more grids connected with control tubes to form a unit.
Another advantage to this modular design is the ability to convert from one length to another, should your inventory change. This is easily accomplished by reconfiguring the grids.
Extremely strong and durable, SpaceSavers are constructed to stand up to the demands of storing steel. Considering their operation, they are quite simple with few moving parts and an uncomplicated design. This contributes to their longevity. Their simplicity and toughness make them practically maintenance free because there is little to service or break.
They are not just for metal. Also suitable for dies, printing rolls, fixtures, plastics, extrusions etc.
